About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Engineer / Architect to join our team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote role, but requires full availability during Qatar Standard Time working hours ( 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pakistan Time).
This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with deep technical expertise in Azure services, cloud infrastructure design, and implementation. You will play a key role in driving cloud transformation efforts and delivering robust, scalable, and secure Azure-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement Azure Landing Zones using Hub & Spoke architecture
Deploy and manage core Azure services, including:
Azure AI Services
Azure Databricks
Azure Data Factory
Cosmos DB
Azure Function Apps
Service Fabric (within private networks)
Lead Azure services implementation and migration projects (IaaS and PaaS)
Configure and manage:
Azure Policies, Azure Monitor
Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud
Set up and manage Azure Backup, disk encryption, and Key Vault
Design and maintain secure and efficient networking:
Develop and implement Disaster Recovery and Repatriation strategies
Contribute to Application Modernization efforts
Support containerized workloads via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or Architect
Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure, security, and networking
Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade cloud solution design and implementation
Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring, compliance, and automation tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results on deadline
Must be able to work full-time during Qatar Standard Time hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM AST)
