About the Role:
We’re seeking a Structural Engineer with a strong background in structural design, analysis, and documentation. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in U.S. building codes, able to work on diverse structural systems, and confident in collaborating with architects, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, and detail structural components using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
Prepare construction drawings, structural plans, and calculation packages
Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.)
Perform load calculations, lateral force analysis, and foundation design
Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
Conduct site inspections and prepare structural assessment reports
Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers for coordinated deliverables
Support construction administration and resolve on-site structural issues
Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
3+ years of experience in structural design and engineering
Proficiency in design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
Solid understanding of U.S. building codes and standards
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
PE license (preferred or in progress)
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with U.S.-based clients and codes
Exposure to residential, commercial, or industrial project types
Knowledge of sustainable building practices or LEED design is a plus
