Shift: Night Shift Only

As a Millwork cost estimator you will be required to calculate the expenses associated with the fabrication and installation of woodwork in construction projects. You will determine the cost of materials, labor, and overhead for items like trim, molding, cabinetry, and other custom woodwork elements. Your role is crucial for ensuring projects stay within budget and meet design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyzing architectural plans, shop drawings, and detailed specifications to understand the scope of the millwork.

· Understanding the project requirements and design details to accurately estimate costs.

· Calculating the amount of wood, hardware, and other materials needed and obtaining quotes from suppliers.

· Accurately measuring and calculating the amount of materials needed for each millwork component.

· Assessing the time and resources required for installation and fabrication

· Obtaining pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials and labor.

· Creating detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, overhead, and profit.

· Compiling estimates into professional proposals for contractors or clients.

· Pricing changes and modifications to the original scope of work.

· Working with architects, designers, contractors, and project managers.

· Keeping abreast of market trends, material costs, and industry standards

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction cost estimation.

· In-depth understanding of U.S. construction codes, site development processes, and regional estimating practices

· Proficient in estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid, or similar tools)

· Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, grading plans, and civil site plans

· Solid math, analytical, and organizational skills

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
