Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator (GC Estimator) with 3–5 years of U.S. experience in construction estimation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reviewing architectural plans, preparing trade-specific scopes and bids, coordinating with subcontractors/vendors, and ensuring accurate pricing submissions. This role requires strong technical and analytical skills with hands-on knowledge of U.S. construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

Write scopes and bids per trade from architectural plans
Send out bids to subcontractors and vendors for pricing
Follow up with subs/vendors to ensure timely bid submissions
Review bids from a technical standpoint, request updates, and ensure accuracy
Award bids and finalize vendor/subcontractor selection
Upload final bids, scopes, and pricing into the company system
Collaborate with project managers and leadership on cost analysis and recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
3–5 years of proven experience as a GC Estimator on U.S.-based projects
Strong knowledge of U.S. construction practices, trade scopes, and pricing standards
Proficiency in estimation software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, RSMeans, or similar)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with subcontractors/vendors
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to work effectively in Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours
