Overview
Ezyteams is seeking a highly skilled Architect/BIM Technician to support our U.S. building envelope consulting and roof asset management operations. This is a new role within our growing firm, and the selected candidate will play a key part in building out BIM systems, software processes, and drafting standards to support scaling operations.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish–English), has a strong background in architectural drafting, and possesses working knowledge of U.S. commercial roofing and building envelope systems. The firm’s Founder/President will provide direct coaching and guidance on roof assessments, reporting, moisture surveys, and specification details, while relying heavily on the candidate’s architectural expertise to establish processes and support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Roof & Building Exterior Drafting
o Convert drone-based photogrammetry data into scaled roof and exterior drawings.
o Develop detailed CAD and 3D drawings for roof and façade assessments, reroofs, and repair scopes.• Moisture Mapping & Roof Condition Assessment Reports
o Create moisture maps for roof and exterior wall surveys.
o Assist in developing roof condition assessment reports from field technician data.
• Specifications & Technical Documentation
o Build and maintain an in-house roof specification library using Speclink.
o Draft customized specifications for client projects, including reroof, restoration, repair, and waterproofing scopes of work.
o Develop and draw roof, exterior wall and waterproofing details in line with U.S. standards.
• Software & Process Development
• Recommend and assist in setting up new software programs and workflows to improve data collection, drafting, and reporting.
• Support the creation of field data collection processes to ensure inspectors capture the information needed for accurate drawings, moisture maps, and reports.
• Collaborate with the Founder/President to establish scalable drafting, specification, project management, and reporting systems for the growing firm.
• Project Management Support
o Collaborate with inspection technicians and project managers to ensure drawings
and specifications align with client requirements.
o Contribute to project scheduling, documentation, and QA/QC oversight.
o Contribute to organizing and managing our clients Roof Asset Management platforms
Qualifications
• Licensed Architect or equivalent degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Certified Thermographer a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual Spanish–English (professional working proficiency in both languages).
• Proficiency in Speclink (required).
• Strong drafting skills with experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or comparable software used to process drone-captured data.
• Familiarity with photogrammetry workflows and integration into architectural drafting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. commercial roofing systems, waterproofing assemblies, and building envelope detailing.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare roof specifications, repair scopes, and construction details in alignment with U.S. standards.
• Minimum 3–5 years of architectural design/drafting experience (commercial projects/low slope roofing preferred).Required Software Proficiency

• Experience recommending and implementing new software/tools for small but growing firms.
• Ability to develop standardized processes and documentation workflows – BIM.
• Background in roofing, façade inspection, or building envelope consulting.
• Knowledge of moisture survey methods (infrared, impedance, or similar).
• Familiarity with QA/QC inspection documentation and reporting.
• Basic understanding of destructive and nondestructive test methods used in low slope roofing and building envelope consulting.
Compensation & Structure
• Contract position (remote, South/Central America) with potential for long-term engagement.
• Compensation based on experience, skills, and portfolio.
